Islamic
Development Bank signs $16 million facilities with
Sudan
The
Islamic Development Bank (IDB) said it had signed
four agreements with Sudan worth $16 million to finance
water projects and research in the African country.
A
bank statement said that the total amount of financial
facilities raised by the bank for Sudan reached $335
million. Based in the Red Sea coast city of Jeddah
in Saudi Arabia, IDB was set up in 1975 to promote
trade among Islamic states.
