In 1994, the
Institute launched a programme of lectures in the field of
Islamic finance. The programme proved to be highly popular and attracted
audiences from highly prestigious financial, legal, accounting, business
and academic organisations.
The aim is to
diffuse and disseminate information about developments in the Islamic
financial system, to exchange views, share experiences and to highlight
the opportunities and problems associated with the Islamic financial
system.
The programme
has been a success from the very start and attracted highly distinguished
audiences, representing major financial
institutions including the Bank of England and prominent
law and accounting firms.
