Since early 1990s IIBI has been offering courses by distance-learning reaching out to students worldwide. Many are employed in the Islamic financial sector while others have progressed from the Post Graduate Diploma to Master's programmes in Islamic finance at different universities. This stands as a testimony to the recognition of IIBI's qualifications by employers, the education system and the wider world.
IIBI has a long history of serving the Islamic finance industry through education and training. The content of IIBI course's syllabuses has, naturally, been developed to ensure that students are equipped with the appropriate knowledge emphasising the practical aspects and essence of Islamic finance operations.
British Accreditation Council (BAC)
On 5 September 2013 the Accreditation Committee of the British Accreditation Council (BAC) for Independent Further and Higher Education awarded accreditation as an online, distance and blended learning (ODBL) provider to the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance (IIBI). This is the first accreditation that the BAC has awarded to an organisation dedicated solely to Islamic finance education. (View Certificate)
The British Accreditation Council (BAC) is the only registered charity in the UK dedicated to raising standards in private further and higher education. For over 25 years the BAC has been responsible for setting standards within the independent further and higher education sector and their accreditation is held by hundreds of colleges in the UK and overseas. The BAC provides the leading mark of educational quality for the sector, which is used by students, parents, agencies and beyond as a guarantee of standards.
